We all know someone who lives religiously for coffee. There are the coffee drinkers and those who think it’s disgusting. After attending a birthday party the host announced the coffee was ready to be served. She reached into the back of her cabinets searching for enough coffee mugs to distribute to all her coffee fans. The fresh aroma and smell of sweet bold coffee beans filled her house immediately after brewing. As the smell filled the room most of the party gathered and hovered over the pot waiting for their freshly poured cup.

Start with your first cup of purpose

Before I became a coffee drinker the smell of coffee would lift a smile on my face, but I wasn’t for sure why. The thick black taste of my first sip led me to wonder why someone would rant and rave over coffee daily. Was it the way it made them feel or was it just part of who they were? For me, it’s the feeling I get every time a warm cup is embedded into my hands. My atmosphere becomes a place of relaxation, a place for me. Coffee is my friend when I am tired, need something for me and when I need a place to just breathe.

Isn’t that why so many people love coffee. It isn’t just the caffeine high or the way it tastes. It’s the place that you enter when you sip on that cup, it’s where every person should land every single day. A place for you, a state of being happy and free. Where no judgment enters, and no rejection lands. The time where excitement enters and where you feel ALIVE. I’m excited to tell you that you don’t need to put your energy into learning how to be a coffee lover. There’s something out there that will let you receive these same exact feelings as drinking a cup of coffee.

Passion, an English word that seems overused and “hobby-ish”. We all have a passion for something, but not everyone can say they have a real true desired passion. We might have a passion for a TV show or sports team. As moms, we have a passion for our children, who they are, how they have developed, and who they will become. But most people bury their passion six feet under. It’s so covered in fears, doubt, hurt, time, and more important things. We lose our true self, the flame that keeps you waking up excited and happy burns out and leaves us feeling empty. So how can we find it if it’s buried so deep we can’t even see it? Start. Think of where you are in your life. Do you feel you are living your life with purpose? Do you feel like something is missing? Are you unhappy? The time is here and it starts now. Think about what moves you, what inspires you, and what you want to change in the world. Listen to what others say about you, positives, not the negatives. You don’t have to put your passions on hold just because you’re a mom, or because you have 10 other things you have to accomplish. You matter. You are here for a purpose. When will you start? What will be in your cup?
