Writing Challenge Day 25

I never thought scheduling appointments would be different when becoming the entrepreneurial family. I couldn’t hold back my smirk of amazement when the receptionist told me our next appointment would be in January. Three months ago, I was in the same position wondering where our family would be standing.  Would we have money coming in? Would we be on the edge of finding a new job due to our savings falling through?

Today is a good day. My husband is finally getting some big jobs rolling in. I can see him finding the purpose he waited so long to find. He stands firm in guiding his family with all the doubt from others. We are close to having another month extra to pay our bills. I never dreamed our family would make it on our journey through November, but we would never be here without the help of God.

Wrapping our trust in God’s hands is the best decision we ever made. Our feet are not weary, and our hearts are confident in our path. Not knowing where we will be in January is frightening, but knowing God is on our side makes the journey much more exciting.

Today’s Message

I’m stepping out on a limb, but I’m willing to risk the confrontation I might get. For those of you who are unsure of God’s power, let me put you to the test. Some of you are 99% sure God is not on your side. You’ve lost all the loved ones around you. Maybe you are in a sticky financial situation, or your health is declining. All your hope has faded, but here you are reading my confession of God’s testimony with my family. What if my story is real for you too?

It’s hard to see and feel God’s love when our world is surrounded in everything going wrong. But if you start believing in that 1%, I know God will shine His face upon you. He will surround you with His love, and grace. Today, when the 99% gets the best of you, start focusing on the 1% you never noticed before. He will come.
