Writing Challenge Day 20
What do you do when you feel you’re not good enough for what God calls you to do? For those of you who follow my blog, I might have mentioned the Podcast my husband and I started. Lately, I feel so defeated with this mission. I want to be an expert co-host, but my skills are not at the level I want them to be. We want to express the real life of Christianity, but I’m afraid my lack of pro-radio voice skills are scaring off all our listeners! Tonight we recorded an episode with two great friends. Their speaking skills blew me away, bringing me back to the thought ﹘ why am I even doing this.
Maybe you’ve experienced these fears with something God has called you to do. It’s hard not to go into a little corner and stop everything you ever tried to do. It’s hard to keep doing something you’re not great at.
Today’s Message
Keep trying. I know it’s a simple message, but a very important one. When we’re not perfect in something God calls us to do, we end up feeling like a failure. I can’t express to you how many times I feel guilty for thinking I’m letting God down. In reality, when we keep trying we are following our mission. God wants us here for a reason, and only He knows where it will take us. It’s hard going against the norm of being perfect, but God’s called you to this task for a reason. What’s a calling you struggle with? I would love to get your feedback!
Galatians 6:9- And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
